Moving to Station 40

As gaba said, we’re moving from our nice studio apartment in lower haight back to the mission. It’s been nice living just together, but it’s also been isolating. We’re moving in to Station 40 at 16th and mission. Two years ago a group of activists got together and rented the unfinished space and put work in to making it livable. There’s a dozen people who live there, a big kitchen, and meeting / performance space.

It reminds me a lot of squatted social centers i’ve hung out in europe. Part collective living, part activist hub, part community center. It should be a lot of fun, although i suspect that 16th and mission is a lot nosier.

Next weekend the house is having a retreat sailing / camping trip to angel island.
