Back in San Francisco

Wow, flying on overbooked flights is great. I got $1,400 in travel vouchers from volunteering to be bumped. I could easily have topped $2k or $3k if i really wanted to push it, but i was getting tired. I think maybe i’ll try flying on busy holiday weekends on American Airlines with the intention of getting bumped so i can rack up free trips.

It was great to see everybody at AMC. I did a workshop on podcasting talking about how people can get their radio programs online they are already producing, the right way to add podcasting feeds to indymedia sites, and i showed off odeo to a bunch of folks. South End Press was really excited about getting some of their authors using it. Unfortunately David Barsamian from Alternative Radio didn’t make it. AR is the activist version of IT Conversations and it’d be wonderful to figure out a way to get some of those programs podcast.

Anyway, we’ve got the cake out and champaign bottle waiting, i’m going to go send out a bundle of invitations and launch odeo.

Update: It looks like David is starting to experiment with it, there’s an Alternative Radio podcast channel on odeo. Cool. Technorati Profile
