Bristol Indymedia Server Siezed by Police

Doh! Well the DNS was moved and now things are up with indymedia uk, but this sucks.

I don’t know what the specific policy on that server is but in general indymedia sites don’t log ip addresses for this very reason. If you are running activist servers i recommend you install and use syslog-ng-anon to protect the privacy of your users.

In other news, autistici is having problems where the police copied their hard drives without them knowing… Ah isn’t it wonderful how freespeech is protected in a democracy.
