Not in our name is using protest.net

I know i should probably have noticed a while ago, and i do vaguely remember seeing the automatic email when they signed up for the calendar. But i didn't, or i forgot. Just today i noticed that NOIN (Not In Our Name) one of the national anti-war coalitions within the US is using protest.net for their calendar.

Interesting is that they made a couple changes to make it more useful, such as putting the add an event link up at the top where it is easy to find. By default it's hidden at the bottom of the page after a bunch of tiny links. They also defaulted to listing the next 20 events, rather than having a calendar view, but in doing so they put a big link for people to find the calendar view.

Among other things, we've still got to remove links to metaevents and add links to the rss versions of each calendar. One thing kellan has been mumbling about is generating .ics files for each calendar. Ideally we'd also allow the calendar to import .ics files so you could manage / update your calendar from iCalendar or any other calendar program which supports ical. That's a ways off though.

We've been working on a rewrite, very very slowly. One thing which might help is adopting something like maypole which is a framework setup almost exactly how we have developed for the new version of protest.net.
